We offer a simple buying process and prompt payment
You only have to deal with one buyer, us. This lets you concentrate on producing quality alfalfa hay. If you wish, we will buy your alfalfa hay out of the field at harvest, saving you handling, hauling and money.
We buy based on lab analyses. The lab we use is Dairyland Lab. We pay for these tests. You can do the sampling and select a lab to do the test yourself if you wish. Either way, we only accept lab analyses only from Certified Forage Testing Laboratories.
We buy only alfalfa hay with no more than 10% other grasses. The alfalfa hay must have no more than 10% moisture, a minimum of 18% protein, 22% raw fiber, 10.5% ash and 2.4% fat.

A member of our team comes to your farm, inspects and tests your hay. If you already have acceptable test results, we will use those. As soon as the hay is inspected and we have test results showing the hay meets our standards, you will be paid 50% of the agreed-upon price up front based on estimated weight. The balance will be paid within 21 days of the hay being picked up and after it is weighed at our plant in Rapid City, SD.
